GABRA Best All-Around Rider Competition 2010

The GABRA BAR Competition is a year long Georgia statewide competition to crown a BAR - Best All-Around Rider annually. In addition to the GABRA BAR Competition, which is open to out-of-state riders, GABRA will annually provide individual RR, TT and Criterium state championship events where the highest placed GA resident will be awarded the state championship in each event.

For this first year of the BAR series, the winner of each BAR category will receive a custom designed GABRA BAR jersey and an award/trophy. BAR Competition awards will be handed out to the winners for each category at the end of the season.

2010 Georgia Best-All-Around Rider Competition

Your hard-working GABRA executives and board members have put together a cross-promoter points competition to award the best all-around rider in each category for the 2010 racing season. We are working diligently to get the final language together because we know you racer types are OCD like that. We'll post up all the rules for the promoters and racers. Keep checking back over the next few days.

Georgia State RR and Crit Venues Selected

GABRA would like to thank all promoters for taking the time to apply for this year's events. The board has approved the following venues for State Championships: Augusta RR June 19, 2010, Grant Park Criterium Aug 22, 2010.

The TT venue has not yet been selected. If you are a promoter and would like to make a last minute application for the prestigious State TT Championship, please contact Dan Coy (dan@dancoy.com).

GA State Championship Venues

Tonight's the night! State champ venues will be selected at tonight's GABRA board meeting. Thanks to all the promoters who submitted applications. All of the submitted events are GREAT events. Any one of them will make a great race. Check back tomorrow to see which venues were selected for 2010's edition of the Georgia State Championships.

Georgia Cup Racing Calendar Posted

Get your training plan in gear! There's not much time before the 2010 season begins! The Georgia Cup racing events for 2010 have been posted to the GABRA calendar. Click here to view the calendar. Consider this calendar tentative until the final 2009 board meeting in December. At this GABRA meeting, the state championship race venues will be selected. Check back for further updates.
