Juniors Only State RR Championship has been set for FRIDAY July 23 at the Harbins Road course in Gwinnett. Jerseys will be awarded to the winners and medals to the top-3 in the following categories
Juniors 10-14
Juniors 15-18
Junior Women 10-14
Junior Women 15-18

*Only annually-licensed riders and American citizens/permanent residents residing in Georgia can win the State RR Championships in their category. Anyone can race and win non-championship prizes and awards regardless of nationality or residence.



Juniors Only State RR Championship

The Georgia State Road Racing Championship this year will be held in Augusta on June 19th. Prepare yourself for the heat and the sweltering competition. Remember, this race weekend counts toward the BAR Championship Series as well. We expect to see great racing out there! Good luck to all participants who are chasing State jerseys.

Elberton Cup results are now posted and have been added to the BAR standings. Oscar Clark now has a handy lead over AJ Meyer with Phil Gaimon holding down 3rd in the Pro/1 rankings.

The Georgia Bike Racing Association (GBRA) is pleased to announce the formation of a BAR Point Series for all riders. The 2010 series started with the Regions event in Albany in March. Since then the series has moved to Athens, Roswell, Macon, Sandy Springs, and the next event is this weekend in Elberton. The Elberton Cup will be the scene of some exciting racing with riders coming from GA, TN, SC and AL to compete in the event this weekend. The entire 2010 schedule is as follows:

As part of the Georgia Bicycle Racing Associations role in promoting, developing and growing the sport of cycling in Georgia, the GBRA board is requesting grant proposals from any of it's members who have a program or idea that may need some help with funding. The funding available is limited and for the remainder of the year the GBRA board will be accepting and considering all grant proposals until the allotted funding for these grants has been exhausted.

If you feel that your group would benefit from some funding for your project, please fill in the attached grant proposal form in full and submit it to gacycling@gmail.com . We will review your application and attempt top give you a determination as timely as possible.
